With cast film, there are some obvious advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages of cast film for production purposes are: increased clarity for scanning and easier to control gauge. - Precision Profiler Thickness Gauging System Our PR2000 is our thickness gauging systems used in lab. With its proprietary technology we can guarantee its accuracy and precision. It’s accurate to 0.001 Mil (0.025). We understand that quality matters to you, and that’s why the PR2000 gives you the ability to see the quality of your process. One of the advantages to the PR2000 is it allows you to see where adjustments needs to be made during the process. One of the disadvantages of cast film was its higher production of scrap. The PR2000 can improve product quality by minimizing the amount of scrap cast film produces.
- Precision Spotchecker Our Precision Spotchecker is another in lab gauging system. This system is dedicated to spot checking the thickness/basis weight of soft, sticky, or very thin materials for your quality control lab. The Spotcheck can measure cast film with an accuracy better than 0.1 microns.
- Multichannel Array Gauge This is our gauging system that can be used on the production line during the cast film extrusion process. It delivers an accurate crossweb profile in real time, provides a 100% continuous coverage with exceptional accuracy, provides full coverage allowing you to have a quality picture on every roll, great for measuring the thickness of pilot lines and narrow webs less than 60 in.
